3 System Components

3.1 TABS6 Trailer ABS Module

The TABS6 is a modular-approach to a trailer ABS assembly, in which the Electronic

Control Unit (ECU) and the Modulator Relay Valve (MRV) are integrated into a single

self-contained 2S/1M-trailer ABS unit. The TABS6 design offers the following features:

• Internal electrical connections to the primary MRV, eliminating the need for any

external pigtail harness for this modulator.

• The sealed ECU includes a pressure equalizer valve to improve the robustness

against water ingress.

• A locking dust cover is provided additional electrical connector and cable protection.

• A serviceable nylon filter to prevent foreign material larger than 0.013 inches from

entering the control port of the TABS6.

• Provisions mounting the TABS6 either directly on the service reservoir (tank-mount) or

on the chassis (frame-mount) without requiring any additional brackets.

• Available in two- (2) models; Standard TABS6 with only 2S/1M configuration and

Premium TABS6 with a default 2S/1M configuration, auto-configurable up to 4S/3M.
