Use the and keys to select the desired option:

J1708/J1587 BUS

configures Brake-Link™ to communicate with the

ECU via the J1708 Bus (accessed through the standard Deutsch

Connection).

Go to step 5.

PLC/ENHANCED MODE

configures Brake-Link™ to communicate

with the ECU(s) via the Power Line Carrier (accessed through the

Deutsch or J560 Tractor/Trailer Power Line Connections). This op-

tion requires Enhanced Mode support and configuration of the

ECU(s). See “Enabling Enhanced PLC Mode”, on page 30.

SET ENHANCE PLC MODE

enables Enhanced PLC Mode on the

ECU, providing the ECU is equipped with Enhanced Mode capability.
